Dogs and Cats

Naomi and myself have decided to concentrate on the gentler side of life as well as the hurly burly of business going forward. To kick of this blog again ,we suggest  that readers read THE TIMELESS PAST POSTS AGAIN AS THEY REMAIN POGNAINT and memorable.

Happiness....

Happiness is a ball of fun, which we run where ever it rolls ,and we push when it with our feet
when it stops.

I think the most lovable patient dogs are the
 Labradors.
A great working breed are the Border Collies, with great intelligence.

Between true friends water drunk together is sweet enough!

A MAN....

took his duck to the vet and   asked him to examine it and say whats wrong. The vet put his stethescope on the ducks hart and announced that the duck was dead! The man could not accept the verdict and asked for more tests to be held.
The vet fetched his Labrador dog .It sniffed the duck then shook its head and looked sad.The vet did the same with his cat for the same result. The man then asked how much he owed the vet and the vet said $150 dollars."Why so much" asked the man.My fee was $20,the LAB report was $100 and the CAT scan was $30 !

The hurt is starting to heal.

I usually wake up at about half past one every morning to go  to the loo.
As I was on my way something told that our son would also would have the need.I usually do not put the lite on and as I passed his whicker basket ,I heard it creaking and heard his nails click on the slate floor.I opened the inner wooden back door.We had cut a hole in the steel door for him to exit, with out unlocking it.I felt his hair brush my ankle and saw his gray shape disappear round the corner outside in the moonlight.I hurried to the bathroom. Then only did I become fully awake,I was uncertain if I had dreamed the entire episode. How ever when I entered the kitchen, true enough the door was open, feeling foolish I called his name and even unlocked the outer door and with a flash lite went to look for him.
No he is resting and I am unsure what I EXPERIANCED

TRUE LOVE !

If you genuinely going to treat your pets in the best way, think a moment before aquiring them.
I know of a couple that allowed their dogs on the lounge chairs and beds when they fist married and the dogs were puppies. The dogs were summiraly sentenced to only be outside when the first baby arived for hygeinic reasons.
That might be all very well, but think how the dogs must feel,as they are not cuddled any more.
Large dogs should never be allowed on the furniture when they are pups. But it is cruel to try break them of this habit later and even worse if they are of a small variety.
Its the humans that are looking for love when they cuddle a dog.Do not lift them onto the bed or chair.Squat on the ground if you do not want them  to develop bad habits for that cuddle !

Our Poodle !

Now that we live in a complex and have no yard so to speak of we take our poodle "Asjas" on twice daily walks. He knows when its time for his walk and stands in front of us wimpering."Come hell or high water!" he accepts no excuse. We have to walk and in the rain we have to keep him covered with a large umbrella . No excuse such us being tired or that its raining. We usually return drenched.Walking keeps him in good condition and his nails short .He is very lively for a fourteen year old.He is of the small variety and we don't  cut his hair in winter.

Older Animals

If your pet is showing signs of athritic conditions and you are giving it pills to ease the pain,it will eventually buildup resistance to those pills.
Then they won'thelp any longer, not also to speak of the side-effects on your poor animal. What your pet may need is a change of diet. There very sophisticated diets on the market now days.Ask your vet.
